1952 - Jackie Gleason, star of "Honeymoonners"; Jack Sterling, ringmaster of "The Big Top"; and the Range Rider (right to left) as they watch the finish of the 26th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade..
1967 - No need to fear, Underdog was there! This crime-fighting canine was a Parade staple from 1966-1980.
1941 - The Uncle Sam baloon flew down the Parade route from 1939-1941.
1969 - The Miracle Mets of 69 with Tug McGraw, Ron Taylor and Ron Swoboda. The Mets win their first world championship and Macy's starts a longtime tradition of honoring champion New York teams..
Mickey Mouse flying by the World's Largest Store. America's favorite mouse first flew in the Parade in the 1930's, a second version flew from 1968-82 and a new baloon led the Parade in 2000.
1977 - It isn't easy being green, especially when you are 56 feet tall!! Kermit flew from 1977-1983.
1980 - Able to leap Macy's in a single bound, Superman flew from 1980-1985..
1996 - One of the most famous of all Parade baloons, Garfield The Cat flew the Parade route from 1986-1999.
Kicking of the Christmas holiday seoson, Santa Claus, arrives in Herald Square as he has every year since 1924.
1999 - Snoopy celebrates the new millenium by leading off the final Parade of the 20th century.
